History the stamp represents:  Every year on April 22, the world celebrates Earth Day. First observed in 1970 by the United States, over 193 countries now work together to host events promoting environmental protection. Some places even celebrate Earth Week, a full seven days devoted to conservation and making our planet a better place.

Between the burning of fossil fuels, overuse of plastic, deforestation, pollution, and many other harmful activities, planet Earth needs help. But it does not have to be “all or nothing” when it comes to being more environmentally conscious.
